Local artist Snow Samurai (a.k.a. Amanda Moore) grew up in rural southern Wyoming and migrated to Montana for both the snowboarding and the architecture program. She has always had a deep appreciation for the arts, which dominate her life in her work and free time. Her projects are inspired and achieved through her direct experiences. “I utilize the energy that my mind creates when I travel or read a new book to conjecture new ideas.” Because of her spontaneity, she keeps a sketchbook with her at all times which enables her to capture new concepts at some of the most unexpected times. Her artwork is a plethora of medias and applications, whether it is concrete & steel or paint & other mixed mediums.
She is employed at CTA Architects & Engineers. She spends her free time working on a variety of concurrent art projects, snowboarding, and discovering new music, literature, and theatre. She attributes most of her inspiration to growing up and living in such a beautiful and exhilarating part of the West.
